Renovation of a 1950's ranch into a clean transitional cottage that involved eliminating a lot of the opulent trim details and going back with simpler cleaner designs. We installed a completely new kitchen with a steel corner window to bring in lots of light and brightened up the walls with white subway tile on top of marble countertops and new white cabinets. The biggest improvement was replacing the front porch with one that matched the scale of the home and replacing the roof with cedar shake.
